Battered cod with green rice flakes on basmati rice with camembert cream


    • 2 loins of desalted cod (approx. 100 g each)
    • 100 g basmati rice
    • 100 ml milk
    • 30 g cream Camembert cheese
    • Olive oil for frying
    • 225 g rice flakes
    • Sweet smoked paprika flakes
    • Salt
    • The white of an egg


The first thing I did was to cook the basmati rice in a pot with water and a pinch of salt for the time indicated by the manufacturer, between 12 and 15 minutes. Then I drained it and set it aside.

I then beat the egg white with a pinch of salt, dipped the cod loins in the beaten egg white, then coated them with the green rice flakes and finally fried them in plenty of fairly hot oil.

I boiled the milk in a saucepan with the cheese until the cheese melted with the milk and formed the cream.

Then I put a base of basmati rice with the cream cheese, on top of it the cod in batter with the flakes and on top of that some sweet paprika flakes.
